Meditative Interlude - Long Brown Eri Silk Scarf
Description
The mystic saint Kabir was an enlightened weaver. Poetry was something that seeped into his being while he worked on the loom. He meditated with his mind centred on interlacing warps and wefts. The creation of this piece was a meditative process.
The interface between the vertical and horizontal yarn produces the desired width of stripes in subtle colours. The term 'batik' has been derived from the Javanese word 'ambatik', which means"to mark with dots". The brightly coloured batik flowers strewn on the wrap, showcase nature at its most beautiful. Wrap it around your shoulders and soak in the pure nectar of the moment.
