A Prized Heirloom - Multicolored Embroidered Woolen Shawl
Sold Out
During the harsh winters, life becomes tough for the nomadic pastoralists living in the Tibetan plateau, but they've learnt to live in harmony with the surroundings and unpredictable weather conditions. A beautiful smile always ready to light up their weather-beaten faces.
The families get around 200-250 grams of wool from the fleece of one sheep, that is reared with a lot of love and care. This fine piece of embroidered art has passed through 34 stages to attain its final shape which took up to two years of intense dedication and hard work. The stylised paisley motif is scattered artistically all over the pure wool fabric, and is filled and surrounded by intricately crafted foliage and flower sprays. To be wrapped in this enchantingly luxurious piece is a magic all on its own.
